Communicating with our Teachers

Newark Preschool Council has several ways of conveying information to teachers in the field.  Meetings, workshops, staff development days and memorandums are all utilized to make sure that teachers are kept abreast of necessary information and requirements from various agencies or funding sources.  Another way in which NPC helps teachers in all 115 of our classrooms maintain a high level of teaching practice is through our monthly two page newsletter, “Preschool News”. 

In addition to informational articles on page one, “Preschool News” devotes page two to the news of fellow workers who may be expecting babies, getting married or are who are hospitalized.  Many of our teachers have been with our agency for ten years or more and have worked with people who may have been reassigned to another center.  The newsletter is a way in which our staff can learn of the happiness or challenges of their former colleagues.  Classroom successes may also be highlighted in the issues.
