Children will
become science explorers as they learn basic science concepts.
For example, they will spend much of the summer learning
such things as what’s it like to be a bug?
Do we eat the same food?
Do they live in families?
They will learn the answers to these questions and more as
they learn about the bug world.

Developmentally
appropriate hands-on materials and activities to support
children’s learning will be provided.
Depending on
the availability of transportation, children will visit the Newark
museum to see live animals and to participate in science lessons
on plants and animals.
